North Wiltshire's Sing 4/4 Community Choir was founded by Mary New in February 2010 and is geared towards bringing members of all ages and abilities together to have fun making music while continually striving for excellence. Mary has extensive experience as an educator, piano accompanist and choral leader and has a passion for encouraging community spirit. New members are always warmly welcomed!

T-shirts

We are most grateful to the Wayland Estates in Cricklade who have generously awarded us sufficient funds to purchase 60 uniform T-shirts. This is excellent as we now have two outfits in which to appear! To those with reservations of wearing a round-necked T-shirt, I am looking into possibilities of a bright neck-er-chief to soften the appearance in a uniform way. Please live in hope! A sample of the T-shirt is shown below:
At our last meeting we set up a measuring opportunity, which has given me sizes to order for 40 members. However, we are 58 on roll!

Please would members who missed that opportunity place their order for their T-shirt by e-mail or telephone as soon as possible.

Sizes are as follows:-

     S          M           L           XL           2XL          3XL
 35/37     38/40     41/43     44/46      47/49       50/52

I should like to place our order by the end of July so that we can distribute garments in September.

September recap sessions

We will be having recap sessions on the 9th and 16th September at a venue to be announced. This will give us all a chance to blow off the cobwebs and go through some of our existing repertoire before we start building up our stock of carols for Christmas.

Twinning Ceremony

Many thanks to all members who participated in our first public performance in the Cricklade Twinning Ceremony on June 20th – you all looked and sounded great; this was due to your dedication and hard work. Congratulations!! Have a well- earned rest this summer. Mary

The choir was formed in February of this year, and sing in four-weekly sessions about four times each year. Present membership is 50+ and so a few more would be welcome, especially tenors and basses. We have a varied repertoire, suitable for most occasions and we continue to expand this as items are perfected session by session. We think that the choir will be a valuable asset to the community.
